Valley Family Health Center was founded in February 1983 and started as a small rural Family Practice with a commitment to serving the families in the community with accessible health services for all patients. Today, over 24 years, the practice has grown into an organization of 10 Rural Health Clinics throughout Fresno and Kings Counties, providing health care for women, children and families.
VFHC currently utilizes highly trained professionals including OB/GYN specialists, Pediatricians, Internal Medicine and Family Practice Physicians, as well as Family Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide health care, including maternity care with labor, delivery and nursery services provided at Selma Community Hospital and Community Medical Center in Fresno.

Special State Programs
CPSP—The Comprehensive Perinatal Services Program is a benefit of the Medi-Cal program. The program offers a wide range of services to pregnant Medi-Cal recipients from the date of conception through 60 days after the month of delivery.
CHDP—Child Health and Disability Prevention Program provides non Medi-Cal eligible children and youth younger than 19 years of age with preventive health care services.
PE—Presumptive Eligibility for pregnant women program allows Qualified Providers to grant immediate, temporary Medi-Cal coverage for conditions related to pregnancy to low-income, pregnant patients pending their formal Medi-Cal applications.
Family PACT—A publicly funded, family planning and reproductive health clinical services program provides services to women at risk for pregnancy and men at risk for causing unintended pregnancy.
